RGL
(2025 – present)
Real-time SIM-based geolocation Service for operators and enterprises
Real-time geolocation Service powered by SIM network data. Part of the ServiceHub platform — enables location-based services, asset tracking, and geo-fencing for enterprise customers and third-party developers.
Key Features
REST API
APIClean RESTful endpoints for querying subscriber geolocation in real time. Standard JSON responses with OAuth 2.0 authentication and rate limiting for enterprise-grade reliability.
Real-Time Tracking
Sub-second location updates for connected SIM devices. Supports continuous tracking sessions and event-driven position notifications via webhooks.
Geo-Fencing
Define virtual perimeters around geographic areas. Receive instant alerts when tracked devices enter or exit defined zones — for logistics, security, and location-triggered campaigns.

How It Works
The RGL (Real-time Geolocation Service) connects campaign managers, mobile networks, and customers in a closed-loop 7-step flow. Click any number or actor to see details.
How the flow reads end-to-end
A campaign begins with the branches the operator wants to promote. Each branch's location (1) is identified so the campaign can be geo-targeted. The campaign manager then sets up (2) the campaign — segment, offer and delivery channel — and subscribes (3) it to the relevant geofences and phone-number pool. The campaign system hands these subscriptions over to RGL, instarea's real-time geolocation service, which continuously performs location tracking (4) on the mobile network. When a subscriber enters a targeted area, RGL fires an event trigger (5) back to the campaign system in real time, which immediately dispatches a personalised notification (6) — RCS, SMS, or any connected channel — to the customer. The loop closes when the customer visits (7) the branch and redeems the offer.
